Cat Cow Pose
Actually two separate poses that are frequently paired together:
- · Marjaryasana (Cat Pose)
- · Bitilasana (Cow Pose)
Therapeutic Applications: Relieves stress
Benefits: A gentle massage to the stomach organs and the spine
- Start on all fours in a neutral position
- Fingers spread wide apart
- Knees are directly below your hips with your wrists and shoulders all in line eyes looking at the floor.
- As you inhale, lift your sitting bones and chest toward the ceiling, allowing your navel to drop to the earth lifting your head to the sky
- Exhale round your spine chin to chest, (never force chin).
- After a few rounds gently push into Childs Pose.
- Your inhales and your exhales will guide you
